Main Street Equity Partners is a commercial real estate acquisition and development firm concentrating on value-add and traditional investments in the Puget Sound Region. Typical investments focus on repositioning existing seasoned projects and selected new development opportunities. Main Street assesses the opportunity working with the seller, existing tenants and government entities to gain full understanding of the investment potential.

Main Street has chosen to keep its staff small and select from a qualified list of partners, architects, contractors, engineers and other consultants to build an appropriately sized team to meet the needs of each project.

The company's practice has been to create a balanced approach to real estate investing. The current strategy focuses seventy percent of the business on short-term investing (3 to 5 year hold) with the remaining thirty percent dedicated to projects that can have a short or long term hold strategy.

Main Street focuses on the following criteria when analyzing a project's viability and potential return:

  • Financially distressed assets with strong tenancy and/or redevelopment opportunities.
 

New Development

  • Well positioned properties in the path of future opportunity.
  • Properties with entitlement, hazardous material and/or environmental (i.e. wetlands) issues that require resident expertise and experience.
  • Development opportunities requiring recapitalization and/or repositioning.
 
 

Advisory and Consulting

Main Street uses this same expertise to provide real estate advisory and consulting services to development and investment clients.
 
 
  MARK A. WEED, Managing Member
Mark Weed has successfully lead project teams and run companies for over 20 years requiring attention to day to day activities, short and long range planning, staffing, financing and capital decisions, marketing, technology, client reporting, and government relations.

Most significantly Mark was President of Fisher Properties Inc. where for over 17 years he successfully directed Fisher’s business efforts including development, acquisition, financing, management, leasing and marketing and disposition of real estate assets. During this time he oversaw the management and development of 1.8 million square feet of Class A office and industrial space and then coordinated the disposition and sale of the majority of those same properties including a 201 slip marina and nearly 500 acres of entitled land. In 2004 the Washington State Chapter of NAIOP awarded him Owner Representative of the year for these efforts. He also held the title of Senior Vice President, Chief Property Officer for Fisher Communications where he provided corporate facilities advice.

Mark's role in Main Street is leading acquisition and development efforts including assembling, collaboration and communication with the necessary consultants, marketing professionals, and financing sources required to properly assess potential acquisitions and to execute on development plans. Mark has a deep understanding of the acquisition, entitlement, design, finance, planning and leasing process.
